1. Agreement
By using Bubbe's Block (the "Service") you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Subscriptions & billing
Paid tiers bill monthly via Stripe at the price listed at sign-up. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. You can cancel any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are issued at our discretion for service failures.
3. Acceptable use
- No scraping or bulk extraction outside of API limits.
- No reverse engineering or unauthorized access.
- No use to harass, dox, or stalk individuals or families.
- Submissions must respect family-member privacy and consent.
- Comply with all applicable laws.
4. Submissions & sources
Historical content is aggregated from public-domain and licensed sources. We make reasonable efforts to verify accuracy but make no guarantees. User submissions (oral histories, photos, names) must be lawfully yours to share. By submitting, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display, archive, and distribute the submission as part of the Service.
5. No warranties
The Service is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
7. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
8. Dispute resolution & arbitration
Any dispute arising out of these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by JAMS in Los Angeles County, California, under its Streamlined Rules. You waive any right to participate in a class action.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted with at least 14 days notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
